Meet The Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson

A distinguished graduate of Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University, Hon. Akinpelu is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in the same field from the University of Lagos. As the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills.

He started his early education at Government Demonstration Primary School in Surulere between 1975 and 1981, where he was a good sportsperson and an active young pupil who was bold and courageous, always asking why – due to his inquisitive nature. This early childhood trait would later be useful in his leadership positions.

Today, Tuesday 29th July, 2025, marks a new dawn in Alimosho Local Government as the newly elected Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinpelu Johnson Ibrahim swear- in the newly elected councillors.

The Executive Chairman, Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Johnson has called on residents, political stakeholders, community leaders and members of the council administration to work together in unity for the program and sustainable development of the Local Government area.

ALIMOSHO LG HOLDS MULTI WARD BUDGET CONSULTATION

In a bid to deepen democratic governance and transparency, Alimosho Local Government held its 2025 stakeholders’ forum across Wards A, B, C, and D.

The forum, attended by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, ward councillors, political leaders, traditional rulers, religious heads, and residents, provided a platform for council leaders to listen to community needs and contributions in preparation for the 2026 fiscal year.
