ALIMOSHO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN UNVEILS 2026 “BUDGET OF RESTORATION AND RENEWED PROGRESS” AT STRATEGIC BUDGET AND PROCUREMENT RETREAT

The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, on Wednesday, 11th December 2025, officially declared open the 2026 Budget and Annual Procurement Retreat held at Osmark Hotel and Suites, off Akala Road, Ibadan, Oyo State. The retreat brought together top government officials, procurement officers, department heads, partners, and key stakeholders to deliberate on the fiscal and governance direction of the local government.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman described the retreat as a defining moment in Alimosho’s governance journey, noting that the decisions taken would shape the future of grassroots development and impact the lives of millions of residents. He emphasized that the 2026 budget, tagged “Budget of Restoration and Renewed Progress,” reflects the administration’s resolve to rebuild trust, restore confidence, and accelerate inclusive development.

The Chairman explained that the budget is designed to restore the dignity of governance at the grassroots, rehabilitate critical infrastructure, and revive economic opportunities for youths, women, and artisans. He further stressed the importance of rebuilding community confidence through responsive, transparent, and accountable governance structures that deliver tangible results to the people.

Beyond restoration, the Chairman stated that the 2026 fiscal plan is aimed at renewing progress that is sustainable, equitable, and measurable across all wards in Alimosho. According to him, the administration remains committed to ensuring that governance is felt in every household and that development outcomes are visible, inclusive, and impactful.
