The Management Staff of Alimosho Local Government on Monday 25th May, 2026, organized a sendforth party in honour of the outgoing Council Manager, Dr. Idowu Banjoko, in appreciation of his outstanding performance, dedication, and remarkable contributions to the growth and development of the local government administration.
The event, which brought together management staff, heads of departments/units and well-wishers, was filled with heartfelt tributes celebrating Dr. Banjoko’s exemplary leadership, professionalism, and commitment to service throughout his tenure.
Speaking during the occasion, members of the management team described the outgoing Council Manager as a disciplined administrator, a dependable leader, and a mentor whose wealth of experience greatly impacted the smooth running of the council and improved service delivery across departments.
They commended his unwavering support for staff welfare, administrative excellence, and his collaborative working relationship with the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, which contributed immensely to the progress recorded in the council.
The Executive Chairman, Hon Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson said that “I, personally is going to miss him so much, because he has never seen his kind of person that is so disciplined, tolerant and calm, for almost a year that we have have worked together we’ve not had an argument”. “I pray to Almighty God to continue to strengthen him and guide,Amin”.
The management staff further expressed gratitude for his selfless service and prayed for greater achievements, sound health, and continued success in his future endeavours.
In his response, Dr. Idowu Banjoko appreciated the management and entire staff of the council for the honour bestowed on him, noting that the support and cooperation he received during his service year in Alimosho made his assignment successful and fulfilling.
The ceremony featured goodwill messages, presentation of gifts, and memorable moments shared with the celebrant as colleagues celebrated a distinguished public servant whose legacy will remain indelible in the history of Alimosho Local Government.
