Alimosho LG Boss Charges Security Network on Vigilance, Commitment, and Community Safety

The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, has held the inaugural meeting of the monthly engagement with members of the newly established Alimosho Security Network (ASN), charging them to remain focused, committed, and dedicated to their responsibilities of promoting peace, orderliness, and the protection of public infrastructure across the Local Government.

The Alimosho Security Network (ASN) is a security monitoring platform established by Alimosho Local Government to complement the efforts of existing security agencies by monitoring activities within communities, promoting public order, and providing timely information to the police and other relevant security agencies.

Beyond security monitoring, members of the network are also expected to discourage indiscriminate dumping of refuse in public places and report activities that may constitute threats to public safety, environmental cleanliness, and the protection of government properties.

Addressing the team, the Executive Chairman commended the members for their efforts so far and urged them to remain vigilant, disciplined, and professional in the discharge of their duties. He assured them of the council’s continued support, noting that the administration would provide the necessary resources and assistance required for them to perform effectively.

โ€œWe would be monitoring your dedication, and I can assure you that we will reward diligent officers through promotion and improved remuneration, training as things progress. Do not see this as just a mere exercise, but as an opportunity and an avenue for a bright and rewarding future.โ€

Hon. Akinpelu further emphasized the importance of professionalism, responsibility, and commitment, stressing that the success of the initiative would depend largely on the dedication of the officers and their ability to work collaboratively with residents and established security agencies.

In their response, members of the Alimosho Security Network appreciated the Executive Chairman for the opportunity to serve and described the initiative as both a responsibility to the community and a meaningful employment opportunity. They assured the Chairman of their total commitment to their duties and pledged to contribute their best towards maintaining peace, protecting public assets, and supporting a safer and more orderly Alimosho.

The meeting reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening community-based security and ensuring that residents can live, work, and conduct their daily activities in a peaceful and orderly environment. The ASN is expected to continue engaging with communities and relevant security stakeholders as part of efforts to build a more responsive and secure Alimosho.
