In a remarkable effort to promote education and support young scholars, Alimosho Local Government has distributed 600 free JAMB forms to indigent students across the local government area.
Earlier today, Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Alimosho Local Government Secretariat, where the Executive Chairman, AKINPELU IBRAHIM JOHNSON, officially presented the forms to the beneficiaries.
While delivering his address, the Chairman stated that the distribution of the JAMB forms is part of his administrationโs โWISE Agenda,โ which prioritizes education, youth empowerment, and human capital development in Alimosho.
According to him, โNo talented child in Alimosho should be denied the opportunity to pursue higher education because of financial challenges. This administration has made it a responsibility to support our young people by investing in their future.โ
He encouraged the students to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their studies, emphasizing that they represent the future of Alimosho, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole.
The Chairman also recalled that in August 2025, his administration distributed 600 free GCE forms to students across the local government as part of efforts to strengthen access to educational opportunities.
Speaking at the event, the Council Manager of Alimosho Local Government, Idowu Banjoko, commended the Executive Chairman for his commitment to education and youth development. He described him as a role model worthy of emulation, noting that such a large-scale educational support initiative is rare.
Dr. Idowu Banjoko urged the students to make the most of the opportunity by studying hard and striving for excellence so they can make Alimosho proud.
In their reactions, some of the beneficiaries, including Idowu Kalma and Balogun Aisha, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Chairman for the opportunity. They promised to study diligently and perform excellently in the forthcoming Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination.
The initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Alimosho Local Government leadership to expand educational opportunities and invest in the future of its youth.
During the closing remarks by the HOD Education Mrs Obanla Fatimah who is the executing department, express her heartfelt appreciation to the executive chairman for this kind gesture and advice the beneficiaries to study hard in order to excel and make Alimosho proud.
