APC E-Registration: Alimosho Chairman Hails Strategic Move Ahead of 2027 Elections
The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the e-registration exercise targeted at party faithful and intending members. He described the initiative as timely and strategic, noting that it reflects the party’s commitment to strengthening its internal structure ahead of future political engagements.
The commendation was made during a train-the-trainer exercise organised for selected party members who will be responsible for handling the e-registration process at the Alimosho Local Government Secretariat, with delegates drawn from Lagos West. The Chairman explained that the e-registration exercise, which involves linking voters’ cards with the National Identification Number (NIN), is designed to identify genuine and committed party members. According to him, the process will eliminate ambiguities in party membership while ensuring a credible and reliable database that will serve as a solid foundation for effective planning and informed decision-making.
In his words, “This is a worthy initiative, and it will give our party direction and clarity. Having proper and accurate data of our members will enable us to truly understand our strength, identify areas where we need improvement, and strategically mobilise more people into our fold.” He added that credible data remains a vital tool for political growth and effective grassroots engagement.
The Chairman further stressed that the exercise would enhance unity, coordination, and cohesion within the party, particularly at the ward and local government levels. He noted that a well-structured membership database would empower party leaders to communicate more effectively with members, deploy resources efficiently, and deepen grassroots participation across communities.
Hon. Akinpelu concluded by stating that with the 2027 general elections fast approaching, the APC must remain proactive and focused. He emphasised the need for early mobilisation and collective commitment toward ensuring the successful re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging party members to fully embrace the e-registration exercise as a critical step toward consolidating the party’s victory in the forthcoming elections.
