NATIONL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY COLLABORATE WITH ALIMOSHO TO DISTRIBUTE RELIEF MATERIALS.(NEMA)

In other to provide succour to the people affected by recent flood disaster in Oguntade area of Alimosho as well as physically challenged people, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has collaborated with Alimosho Local Government to distribute relief materials. 


 The event which took place on Wednesday, 12th November, 2025 witnessed a large turnout of the residents who are mostly the beneficiaries.


While addressing the gathering, the Executive chairman of Alimosho welcome NEMA officials, while also expressed his gratitude to them for there prompt response and a loudable steps taken to relief the residents through the distribution of food items, clothes, clothing materials etc to the people.


According to NEMA director Mr Muhammad, the aim is to provide immediate support to familes and individual who suffered losses as a result of heavy downpour and flood that ravaged oguntade area of Alimosho. Mr Muhammad encouraged the residents to issue there properties against such occurrence, while also discouraged people from illegal dumping of refuse at un designated places which can block the gutters/drainages which can result to flooding.


The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Official, Mr Olukayode, while speaking to the beneficiaries, urged the residents to always call 767 and 112 toll free lines in case of emergency occurrence, and also admonished the Executive Chairman and the law makers to embark on a massive advocacy to sensitise the residents on how to guide against flooding.
