Alimosho Local Government Strengthens Waste Management Fleet with Second Compactor Truck
Alimosho Local Government has acquired an additional compactor truck to further enhance waste collection and management across the council area. This development forms part of the administrationโs ongoing efforts to improve environmental sanitation and promote a cleaner, healthier Alimosho for residents.
It will be recalled that the local government took delivery of its first compactor truck towards the end of 2025. With the acquisition of a second truck, the council is expanding the coverage and efficiency of waste evacuation, ensuring that more communities benefit from regular and timely refuse collection.
Speaking on the development, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to delivering on its electoral promises. He noted that environmental cleanliness remains a key pillar of the councilโs development agenda.
โAs a government, we owe it to our people to fulfil all our campaign promises, part of which is maintaining a cleaner Alimosho. This is one of the promises we are fulfilling, among several others we made during the electioneering,โ the Chairman stated.
He further assured residents that the council would continue to prioritise service delivery and people-oriented projects. โWe will not stop or rest on our oars until our people are fully satisfied and Alimosho is recognised as a model of cleanliness and responsible waste management,โ he added.
