The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, has extended warm greetings to the youths in Alimosho Local Government, acknowledging their pivotal role in shaping the community’s future. He praised their energy, creativity, and resilience, noting that their contributions are vital to the Local Government’s growth and development.
Hon Akinpelu Ibrahim said, “Our administration is committed to empowering the youths through various initiatives, including vocational training and IT empowerment programs, engaging them in farming as designed in our plans, which we have painstakingly put together in our WISE Agenda Manifesto. As a government, we will equip the youths with the skills needed to navigate the 21st century and its challenges.”
The Executive Chairman further emphasized, “As your new Executive Chairman, trust me, we are creating new narratives, and the era of ‘you are the future leaders’ is gone. You being a leader has to start now. And the only way it can actively be in action is for you as a youth to know what you want from life, grow it, brand it, and push it forward – and we as a government will take it up to ensure it comes into reality. The era of docility should be ended. Let us start being active youths with futuristic plans.”
The Chairman’s message to the youths is one of hope and encouragement, urging them to take advantage of the opportunities available to them. He assured them that his administration is committed to providing support and resources to help them succeed, citing initiatives such as leveraging national programs like 3MTT and SMEDAN to keep youth engaged in productive activities.
