The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, has once again demonstrated his administration’s commitment to environmental cleanliness and flood prevention by spearheading a fresh round of sanitation works in the council area.

In his latest effort, Hon. Johnson has commenced the desilting and evacuation of silt from the primary canal situated behind the council’s administrative office, as well as the tertiary drainage network along Bada Street.

The exercise is part of his wider agenda to promote a healthier environment and ensure the free flow of stormwater in the community.

According to the Council Chairman, the project is designed not only to improve environmental sanitation but also to tackle the menace of flooding by clearing blocked drainage channels that often obstruct water movement during heavy rains.

Hon. Johnson reiterated that his administration remains committed to prioritizing the welfare of residents through proactive infrastructural and environmental projects that enhance quality of life in Alimosho.
